About The Position
Join a physician-led team at Saint Joseph Hospital, a 184-bed Level II Trauma Center serving the Fox River Valley community. We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary Critical Care physician to deliver high-acuity inpatient critical care and comprehensive pulmonary services in a collaborative, community-focused environment.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with board certification/eligibility in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care medicine.
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship.
- Strong clinical skills in outpatient, inpatient, and critical care settings.
- Excellent communication abilities and a commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
- Eligibility for Illinois medical licensure.
Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill patients, handle mechanical ventilators, and direct emergency interventions.
- Perform bronchoscopies, thoracentesis, intubations, and chest tube insertions.
- Work with nurses, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary specialists.
