About The Position
The Public Works Tech I - Stormwater position involves operating light to heavy equipment for the maintenance of City streets, solid waste collection, and the operation and maintenance of water, sanitary, and stormwater systems. This role is represented by the AFSCME union, and further details can be found in the AFSCME collective bargaining agreement.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- CDL Endorsement B with Air Brake endorsement
- CDL A endorsement within 6 months of hire
- Previous experience in road maintenance, underground utility construction or landscape construction
Responsibilities
- Safely operate light to heavy equipment for the purpose of maintenance of City streets, solid waste collection
- Operate and maintain water, sanitary and stormwater systems
