About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Public Works Maintenance Lead Worker to oversee and perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and construction activities involving streets, roads, facilities, utilities, and other public infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on maintenance experience, sound judgment, and the ability to effectively coordinate and supervise field crews.

Requirements

• At least two (3) years full time work experience in construction, maintenance, or related work.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of a valid Class C California license, with the ability to obtain a Class B license as needed or required for some positions.

Responsibilities

• The Public Works Maintenance Lead Worker is the lead class responsible for a wide variety of maintenance and construction tasks.
• Incumbents perform skilled work in the maintenance and repair of streets and sewer and water facilities.
• This classification is distinguished from the next lower classification of Public Works Maintenance Worker by the difficulty and complexity of assignments, and the performance of lead responsibilities
