About The Position

The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate II to work in the Traffic Division of the Public Works Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment, performing manual labor tasks in a wide variety of maintenance and construction work. The Public Works Department provides services that are vital to our community’s health, safety, and comfort. The Town offers a competitive benefits package.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Over one (1) year of traffic control experience, or street construction/maintenance experience, or closely related field.
Valid Arizona Driver License.
Obtain temporary traffic control certification within one year of hire.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
Must complete a pre-employment physical including audiogram and pass a 50-pound lift test.
Complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.

Experience in temporary traffic control.

Responsibilities

Performs routine standardized-skilled maintenance of traffic control signage and pavement markings, and/or landscaping tasks; uses a variety of hand and power tools; inspects, cleans and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.
Provides service to internal and external customers.
Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
Utilizes asset software management software to track work orders and supplies.
