About The Position

The Westin Tempe is looking for a FT - PM - Public Space Attendant to join our amazing Housekeeping Team! This role takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. As a Public Space Attendant, you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. You'll have the support and collaboration of your colleagues as you work together to provide a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers.
• Team player.
• Working knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
• Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk public areas for extended periods of time.
• Requires lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to perform job functions under limited supervision.
• Remain professional at all times.
• Treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Be adaptable to change in work area and procedures.
• Willingness to learn new skills and/or improve existing ones.
• Ability to solve routine problems that occur on the job.
• Ask for help whenever unsure how to do something.
• Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals.
• Must be willing to work PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
