About The Position

The Westin Tempe is looking for a FT - AM - Public Space Attendant to join their amazing Housekeeping Team. As a Public Space Attendant, you'll be part of a great team of helpful people who are passionate about delivering exceptional service. You'll have the support and collaboration of your colleagues as you work together to provide a clean and comfortable environment for our guests. This role takes part in servicing our guests around our beautiful Hotel. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to "pitch-in" and help co-workers.
• Working knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
• Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk public areas for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to perform job functions under limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Service guests around the hotel in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner.
• Provide a clean and comfortable environment for guests.
• Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
• Maintain hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance.
• Adapt to change in work area and hotel procedures.
• Solve routine problems that occur on the job.
• Assist co-workers with their job duties.
