About The Position
The Public Space Attendant cleans and maintains items and surfaces in designated areas to ensure the hotel meets its cleanliness standards. The hotel operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The work environment includes the front office and all areas of the hotel, as well as guest rooms, guest and service corridors, and the housekeeping office. The position involves indoor and outdoor work under variable temperature and noise conditions, and may involve exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mites, biohazards, and chemicals.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and equipment use.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
- Computer skills.
- Good understanding of English and good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to lift and transport at least 25 pounds.
- Able to push or pull carts and other equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Able to perform varied physical movements throughout work areas and stand and maintain well-paced mobility for lengthy periods.
- Able to reach above head and shoulder height to perform job duties.
Nice To Haves
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
