About The Position

The Public Space Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various public areas within the establishment, including restrooms, food and beverage outlets, the spa, associate break areas, hallways, lobbies, offices, and other guest areas. This role operates on the night shift, from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. The position requires adherence to cleaning standards, responding to guest requests promptly, maintaining safety awareness, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must have a safe driving record.
  • Must be able to get a Missouri E or Arkansas P designated driver’s license.
  • The ability to work well with a team, to prioritize, a sense of urgency and a real concern for guest satisfaction.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and taste or smell.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Clean the public space areas as outlined in the housekeeping manual and/or as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Clean and maintain public restrooms, windows, ash urns, sidewalks, food and beverage outlets, the spa, associate break areas, lobbies, hallways, offices and other guest areas.
  • Respond to guest request calls in a timely manner, during the shift.
  • Maintain an awareness of all safety procedures and guidelines as they relate to guests and associates.
  • Be knowledgeable of cleaning products and their proper uses with safety awareness.
  • Provide professional, friendly service to all guests.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk up and down inclines and stairs throughout the shift.
  • Will perform other duties as required.
