Public Services Assistant (24 Hours Per Week)
About The Position
The Vancouver Mall Library is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time (24 hours/week), Public Services Assistant. This is a great opportunity for individuals who have a passion for working with the public and want to make a positive impact in their communities. The primary responsibilities of a Public Services Assistant are assisting with patrons and books in the library branches. A typical day could include routine circulation duties such as shelving materials, checking materials in and out and creating/updating library accounts, and answering patron questions on the phone and in person, regarding resources, services, technology, equipment and devices. The ideal candidate will be flexible and have strong customer service skills and great attention to detail.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Six months or more of customer service experience
- Candidates who are able to communicate how their skills, experience, and education are relevant to the position are more successful in the recruitment process.
- Skills Assessment - Candidates must be available in person.
