About The Position

AOI is growing and we're ready to add a dedicated expert to our Furniture Division focused entirely on the public sector market. If you're someone who thrives on complexity, builds lasting relationships with government clients, and takes pride in seeing a project through from start to finish, this role was built for you. This is a high-impact hybrid position for someone who is equal parts trusted advisor and operational leader, a person who knows how to win public sector business and deliver on every promise made. You'll represent MillerKnoll, the #1 furniture brand in the world, backed by AOI's 40-year reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and partnership, with the credibility of our cooperative contract vehicles behind every conversation.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years in project management, account management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of government procurement processes, cooperative purchasing vehicles, or public sector sales is a meaningful advantage.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; you manage multiple complex projects simultaneously without letting anything slip.
  • Confident and professional in both client-facing settings and internal coordination.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software.

Nice To Haves

  • furniture, AEC, or interiors industry experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage public sector furniture projects from contract award through final installation; on time, on budget, and to the agency's expectations.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for state, local, and federal government clients, building the trust that keeps them coming back.
  • Work confidently within cooperative purchasing programs and government contracts to bring the right solutions to each agency.
  • Identify and pursue new business within the public sector market through agency outreach, industry events, and cooperative contract engagement.
  • Direct project timelines, field teams, and internal resources to ensure every commitment becomes a reality.
  • Grow AOI's presence in the public sector through client meetings, government-focused events, and community engagement.
