About The Position

The pay for this position starts at $20.50/hour, with additional compensation added for higher education and/or years of relevant experience up to $23.87/hour. This position is located in Rutland, MA. The available schedules for this position is Monday-Friday 7am-3pm $1,000 Sign-on Bonus Additional $250 Bonus if MAP Certified Devereux - Massachusetts serves students with various complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder. Devereux's Fentress program serves males 12-21 with various psychological and behavioral disorders. With 1 staff to 4 students ratio, this program is focused on increasing independence and preparing indivudals to move on from Devereux.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.
• Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment if going to a Group Home setting.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Be responsible for the safety and security of all youth as assigned by providing direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement for the same.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily (ADL) Living Skills.
• Possess adequate organizational and communication skills needed to complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
