About The Position

This recruitment will be used to establish an eligible list to fill current and future Driving Instructor vacancies. Manages one or more aspects of a training and development program. This may include determining training needs for law enforcement troopers, developing curriculum for Arizona POST training and in-service training programs, coordinating training, evaluating program effectiveness, developing and administering a training program, developing and implementing an employee career mobility program, and instructing Arizona POST training courses. Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Seven years of professional-level law enforcement experience as an Arizona POST certified peace officer.
  • Requires Arizona POST General Instructor certification.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
  • Must successfully complete the examination process.
  • A polygraph and background investigation are required for successful applicants.
  • Must successfully complete the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify).
