About The Position

The Public Safety Officer will maintain the safety and security of their building by responding to emergency and non-emergency situations. The position involves maintaining confidentiality, conducting investigations, and ensuring proper communication with staff. This is a full-time role, requiring flexibility and strong decision-making skills.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma plus some college coursework
  • MCOLES certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification.
  • Previous law enforcement or security experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, investigation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls.
  • Supervise and investigate incidents, maintaining professionalism under stress.
  • Conduct thorough investigations and write detailed reports.
  • Apply state and federal law provisions and department procedures.
