Public Safety Officer Part Time
About The Position
Ohio Wesleyan University is seeking a Part-Time Public Safety Officer for its Department of Public Safety. This is a 20-hour per week position with a varying schedule, often involving evening or night hours and potential weekend shifts. As a non-sworn officer, you will be part of a small team responsible for observing and acting on unsafe behaviors, responding to emergencies, deterring crime, and building relationships within the campus community. The goal is to make the community feel safe, supported, and treated equitably. The pay rate is $20/hr. This role is beneficial for those who prefer or require non-traditional work schedules, with opportunities for more traditional hours for senior employees.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have an Ohio driver license
- Must pass a Background Check screening
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States
