The U-Haul External Communications team will offer a paid internship for the 2026 fall semester to a qualified Public Relations, Journalism or other Communications student. The selected candidate will work with members of the U-Haul PR and Community Relations staff to write and circulate press releases on behalf of new U-Haul neighborhood dealers. In addition to this primary task, our interns assist with media outreach; write blogs for myuhaulstory.com; and tackle additional assignments as they arise. U-Haul PR interns typically work 20-30 hours per week with flexible schedules based on their classes. Interns may have the option to remain in their role beyond one semester if all parties agree. U-Haul, cofounded by a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and his wife, has been headquartered in Midtown Phoenix since 1967. We are the leader in do-it-yourself moving and self-storage with more than 23,000 truck- and trailer-sharing locations across all 50 states and 10 Canadian provinces.
