About The Position

Jackson Spalding is seeking a Public Relations Intern for Fall 2026 (September to December 2026). This internship is an excellent opportunity for college seniors and recent graduates to gain valuable experience in a PR and marketing agency environment. The ideal candidate is a friendly go-getter with character, class, confidence, chemistry, and competency, possessing a passion for communication and marketing, and a commitment to continuous learning. This role focuses on Public Relations, and preference will be given to candidates with PR, comms, or journalism experience and studies. Interns will experience the daily rhythm of agency client work, work alongside the professional team, attend client meetings, and be responsible for assigned projects. Internships are paid, typically three to six months in length, and may lead to full-time employment.

Requirements

• Excellent writing skills
• Resourcefulness, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Basic time, budget, and project management skills
• Experience with social and traditional media and ability to monitor both
• Mid- to high-level knowledge of Microsoft Office software including PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Nice To Haves

• Preference for Asana skillsets
• Experience with AI tools or Adobe Creative Suite

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of integrated public relations campaigns for a variety of clients
• Draft, edit, and proofread press materials including releases, media advisories, and story pitches
• Research media contacts and industry trends to inform outreach strategies
• Monitor client and competitor coverage, and compile regular media recap reports
• Assist with event coordination, from logistics and guest lists to on-site support
• Contribute ideas during team brainstorms and strategy sessions
• Prepare client-ready materials such as briefing documents, talking points, and presentations
• Provide general team support to ensure smooth project organization and communication
