About The Position

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in Palm Springs, California. The Tribe currently owns and operates two 18-hole championship golf courses, 3 casinos, two world class spas, and a fuel station. Under the direction of the Director of Tribal Public Relations, the Public Relations Coordinator will provide clerical, administrative, organizations, and research support for the Public Relations Director.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience at an Administrative Assistant level or higher or any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must have good PC skills with intermediate ability to use MS Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skill set.
  • Ability to relate to all levels of management, Tribal Membership, visitors and employees in verbal/written form.
  • Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision and multiple interruptions.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Legal background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Public Relations Department records and files.
  • Produce and edit a wide range of documents using a variety of software.
  • Copy, distribute and file as required, while maintaining a professional and secure work environment.
  • Proof read, prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents.
  • Conduct research, assemble and analyze data to prepare reports and documents.
  • Draft internal and external communication relating to department projects.
  • Assists in the tracking and reporting of department expenditures.
  • Assists in the tracking and reporting of department projects and work flow.
  • Positive Attitude in a team environment.
  • Must comply with all applicable standard operating procedures and Tribal Regulations.
  • Documents and reports all exceptions/variations/deviations immediately upon awareness.
  • Order, purchase and label supplies and equipment for the Department.
  • Administrative duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
