About The Position

ASRC Federal Holding Company is looking to fill an open position of Public Relations Analyst (Sr.) at the Washington DC Navy Yard. This role works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a large Navy program and performs all functional duties identified independently. The analyst may oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. The position involves writing, editing, and preparing internal materials, developing and disseminating information to drive employee engagement, and managing internal and external crisis communications. The analyst will also promote or create an intended public image for individuals, groups, or organizations to support the Government, write or recommend material for release to various communications media, provide social media expertise, organize and schedule conferences and events, coordinate and oversee "all hands" meetings, attend high level meetings and prepare responses for Strategy, Communications and Public Affairs, and work closely with Senior SES Level leaders and directors on messaging and communications plans.

Requirements

  • At least (10) years of related work experience w/ master’s degree
  • Ability to learn and apply technical concepts to assigned duties
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, coordination, and data mining skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Secret Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Publisher
  • Basic skills in web conferencing (e.g. Zoom and WebEx)

Responsibilities

  • Writes, edits and prepares internal materials, including company publications, group emails, intranet pages, training materials and employee meeting materials for dissemination through organizational communication channels.
  • Develops, plans, writes, edits, and disseminates information to drive employee engagement through executive and enterprise communications.
  • Develops, recommends and maintains editorial policy and branding guidelines.
  • Anticipates and manages internal and external crisis communications.
  • Develop communication plans for company's operational or structural changes to ensure that change is managed effectively.
  • Monitors and responds to employee feedback regularly.
  • Interviews source people and research subjects to obtain information and verify facts; assigns and/or directs graphic design and approves final proofs for print pages, web pages, and navigation.
  • Ensures all company compliance and ethical standards are met.
  • Promote or create an intended public image (brand/reputation) for individuals, groups, or organizations to support the Government.
  • Write or recommend material for release to various communications media to support the Government.
