About The Position

At KCSA, we don’t just tell your story—we celebrate it. We are looking for an Account Director of Public Relations to add to our team. This person is a trusted advisor to clients and confidently leads a handful of accounts. This Account Director will span multiple verticals, so being able to champion clients in different industries simultaneously is paramount. This person is a media relations shark with a proven track record of earned media relationships and placements. Guiding and mentoring junior team members, as well as reporting up to senior leadership, is a daily part of the role so experience working in a heavily matrixed environment is a big plus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-8 years prior PR agency experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with ability to take the lead on relevant projects

Responsibilities

  • Lead a handful of client accounts
  • Ideation & execution of strategy and tactical execution
  • Day-to-day program management
  • Substantial media relationships
  • Executing final draft of strategic plan
  • Final review of status reports / forecast / recaps to be provided to Managing Director / SVP
  • Cultivate and manage junior staff SAE, AE and AAE level staffers
  • Run five accounts with light supervision
