About The Position

The Public Programs Producer provides programming and events logistics support, along with general administrative support, to ensure high-quality and engaging public programs and events are delivered. Working cross-functionally within the Marketing and Communications team, this role supports the delivery of a diverse program of talks, outreach and events aligned to the university’s strategic goals. The producer will work collaboratively with colleagues across the university and external stakeholders to ensure programs run smoothly and deliver a high-quality experience for both in-person and online audiences. This role requires flexibility to support evening and occasional weekend events.

Requirements

  • Proven background in an events support or coordination role, contributing to the successful delivery of programs and events
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver communications or content across multiple channels
  • Strong organisational capability, with excellent attention to detail and a proven ability to manage competing priorities
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • A collaborative and customer-focused working style, with the ability to adapt in a changing and fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering digital content (such as podcasts or video) across the full lifecycle, including content development, editing, marketing and distribution

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of public programs, outreach activities and events, including researching ideas and supporting speakers
  • Assist with event planning and execution, providing on-site and logistical support for in-person and online events
  • Support marketing and promotional activities, including social media and digital content assets
  • Build and maintain event webpages and contribute to newsletters and other communications
  • Manage event administration and registrations using online event management systems and maintain accurate data
  • Support event recordings and digital content, including basic podcast and video editing, and distribution
