Under supervision of the Community Engagement Manager, advocates for strategies to improve population-level health utilizing evidence-based practices. Leads efforts to assess, develop, and coordinate plans and systems to support public health initiatives. Promotes health in the community with a primary focus on both internal and external stakeholder engagement and policy efforts. Develops and sustains a variety of community engagement projects to address emerging and existing public health priorities to address the leading causes of illness, injury, and premature death in Brown County. Maintains a health equity and quality improvement perspective when assessing and collaborating within complex community systems. Specific objectives for the Public Health Strategist may be linked to funding source. Examples of funded initiatives include, but are not limited to: Environmental Health, Emergency Preparedness, Chronic and Communicable Disease Prevention and Early Detection, Mental Health, Injury Prevention, Early Childhood Initiatives, Collaborative Community-Based Initiatives, Emerging Health Priorities as Identified.
