This intermittent position performs general nursing care and program support for the Health Department in a variety of settings including, clinics, mobile units, outreach events, community partner locations, program locations, home care, etc. The position also provides direct patient care services and may be required to act in a lead capacity, assigning and monitoring the work of other professional and support personnel. Some highlighted functions include: Participates in community education and individual patient/client education in department programs, e.g., HIV/STI, Reproductive/Sexual Health, TB, adolescent health, maternal/child health, opioid use/behavioral health, and any other evidence-based nursing curriculums. Assists in communicable disease investigation and infection control management.
