About The Position

The Task Force for Global Health at Emory University is seeking a Public Health Program Associate (CGHE) for a term-limited position of 18 months. Emory University is a leading research institution committed to fostering excellence and preparing future leaders. This role involves analyzing, developing, implementing, and promoting strategies to address public health issues. The associate will provide education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and conduct research related to public health challenges. The position will also work with programs evaluating the prevalence and effectiveness of interventions, potentially assisting with clinical study sites for patient recruitment and data collection, and contributing to data analysis, proposals, reports, and presentations. Training initiatives and collaboration with external organizations may also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Master of Science in Public Health, Master of Science in Health Education, Master of Science in Development Practice, or a Master's degree in another field with one year of public health experience.
  • Residency in the state of GA.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, implement, and promote new and creative strategies and solutions to address public health issues and challenges.
  • Provide education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research to address public health issues.
  • Work with programs or studies designed to evaluate the prevalence or surveillance of public health issues and the effectiveness of targeted interventions.
  • Provide technical assistance to organizations, including presentations, web-based resources, strategies, and educational forums.
  • Work with clinical study sites on patient recruitment and data collection standards.
  • Assist with data collection and data analysis.
  • Contribute to proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentation of study findings.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and conducting targeted training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals to achieve specific objectives.
  • Perform related responsibilities as required.
