The Task Force for Global Health, an Emory University affiliate, focuses on building durable public health systems. The International Trachoma Initiative (ITI) is a partner in the Global Program to eliminate trachoma as a public health problem. ITI's mission is to eliminate blinding trachoma through stewardship of azithromycin donations, strengthening partnerships for the WHO-endorsed SAFE strategy, and managing the Alliance for the Global Elimination of Trachoma by 2020 (GET2020) database. This role assists in disease intervention services by researching resources and developing country profiles, handles data management, and supports countries by researching needed resources and coordinating communications.
