About The Position

This opportunity lets you support essential reporting, funding, and evaluation processes. You will collaborate with health departments to improve accuracy and compliance. This role gives you the chance to make a meaningful impact on statewide health efforts. This position focuses on supporting statewide efforts to eliminate tuberculosis by guiding contract oversight and improving surveillance accuracy. You will work with local health departments, review data, and ensure programs align with state and national objectives.

Requirements

  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • A bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to local health departments to support compliance with program and grant requirements
  • Recommend funding allocations by reviewing program needs and procurement standards
  • Maintain budget workbooks to ensure proper use of designated funds
  • Approve documentation for invoiced expenses to confirm accuracy and release funds
  • Apply evaluation criteria to assess contract performance and identify improvements
  • Monitor data for latent tuberculosis infection to ensure completeness, timeliness, and accuracy
