About The Position

As a Public Health Program Administrator with the Department of Health, you will help guide statewide HIV service efforts that improve lives. This position connects you to important work that supports prevention, testing, and treatment programs. You will contribute to efforts that promote fairness, access, and strong health outcomes for communities across the state. This is a chance to use your skills to create positive change! This position supports statewide HIV service standards and data activities that guide program quality and funding decisions. The work helps ensure that HIV services across Pennsylvania are effective, coordinated, and aligned with federal and state requirements.

Requirements

  • One year as a Public Health Program Associate 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in the development, analysis, or monitoring of programs, grants, or contracts in health, human services, social or behavioral services, health care services, or health insurance; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • You must pass a background investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Determine policies and procedures to maintain compliance with service standards and program goals
  • Review and analyze statewide HIV program data to guide reporting, planning, and improvement
  • Provide guidance and training to staff and providers on data systems and service expectations
  • Evaluate regional grantee quality activities to ensure alignment with federal requirements
  • Collaborate with partners to support efficient and integrated delivery of HIV services statewide
  • Assist with planning, grant activities, and reporting to support continued access to HIV services
