PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE - SCHOOLS
About The Position
The Visiting Nurse Association is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated registered nurse to support students in the community, working three days per week. The role offers a flexible work schedule, an independent work environment, a variety of settings, and the opportunity to provide quality care to students. The nurse carries out the School Health Program according to VNHS program guidelines and recommended state school health policies and procedures. The nurse implements the program in assigned schools in collaboration with the school administrator and under the direction of the Program Manager of the School Health Program of VNHS.
Requirements
- Active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or a compact state.
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance coverage.
- Own reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree preferred.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of community health nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
