About The Position

This position will be housed at the Sumter County Health Department and will support the Dental office by utilizing your expertise to fulfill the following responsibilities: Ordering, collecting, recording, shipping, and managing labs. Monitoring and recording temperatures daily, accesses patient immunization record and GRITS. Administer immunizations and print immunization records. Manage inventory, collect, record and report patient’s vital signs. Place and read Tuberculin Skin Tests (TST’s), perform hearing, vision, and dental screenings. Provide Directly Observed Therapy (DOT) for appropriate TB patients. Participate with health fairs and community outreach.

Requirements

• Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college
• two (2) years of LPN public health experience
• current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• CPR certification

Nice To Haves

• At least four (4) years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Public Health experience.
