About The Position

The Public Health Inspector assists in the planning and delivery of public health inspection services. The incumbents fulfill the requirements of the Saskatchewan Health Authority. Public Health Inspectors are required to exercise considerable independent judgment in the course of a diverse program delivery. Program aspects include extensive legislation application and enforcement; health hazard assessment and abatement, communicable disease prevention and investigation, health promotion and education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health (BSEH)
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada), CPHI(C)
  • Basic - Communication skills

  • Advanced - Writing skills
  • Basic - Computer skills
  • Basic - Organizational skills
  • Basic - Interpersonal skills

  • Must upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position.
  • Must bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search.
