About The Position

Douglas County is seeking a Public Health Executive Director to guide community and environmental health services. The role leads a dedicated team, strengthens community partnerships, and guides programs that protect health and enhance quality of life in Douglas County, Colorado. The County seeks a strategic, collaborative leader with sound judgment, clear vision, and a commitment to excellent public service. The position is full-time and regular, with a hiring range of $200,000 to $275,000 per year. In emergencies or disasters in or near the County, County employees are expected to make every effort to assist with continuity of necessary County functions. This may require additional duties and hours beyond normal expectations. An exempt employee who works more than 40 hours in a week supporting County operations during an emergency may receive overtime or other appropriate wage compensation under County policy or at the County’s discretion.
