The Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) Intern will support the Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD) within the Public Health Administration Division. The PHEP program is responsible for establishing local public health preparedness priorities, developing, maintaining, and testing emergency response plans, coordinating preparedness and response efforts with local, state, and federal partners, and managing public health emergencies, both natural and human-caused throughout Marion County, Indiana. This internship provides hands-on experience in public health emergency preparedness. The intern will assist PHEP staff with maintaining operational readiness of emergency preparedness assets and equipment, and will contribute to planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive emergency preparedness framework aligned with the National Incident Management System (NIMS).
