About The Position

As an Americas Public Finance (APF) Intern, you will be supporting senior analysts in their evaluation of the credit quality for organizations in APF, which can include ratings for states, municipalities, school districts, charter schools, colleges, hospitals, housing agencies, public power and municipal cooperatives, transportation entities or utility providers. As part of your role, you will be responsible for aggregating data and information to support the ratings analysis, while also helping to research for publications or special projects. You will also assist in drafting presentations and preparing reports for internal and external distribution. Within S&P Global Ratings, APF is an important sector of the capital markets as our credit analysis supports key funding initiatives and serves as a growth driver for many areas of the economy. Requirements

  • Has a strong interest in a career in finance, business, law, government, and/or public policy
  • Available to work full-time, in person, for six-weeks beginning week of July 7th
  • Creative and fearless, has Excel, Word and PPT skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Right to Work Requirements: This role is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in-person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
