Halton Women’s Place is seeking a Public Educator to develop, coordinate, and facilitate activities and programs that educate children, youth, the public, and community partners about woman abuse, supporting the mission and objectives of Halton Women’s Place. This position is dedicated to the Male EngageMENt initiative, focusing on designing and facilitating programs for boys, men, fathers, coaches, educators, and male allies in violence prevention. The role involves leading discussions on healthy masculinity, healthy relationships, gender-based violence prevention, bystander intervention, and allyship, fostering engagement with male-identifying audiences throughout the Halton Region. The Public Educator will also be involved in school-based programs, Male Committee work, and other educational initiatives aimed at engaging men and boys as allies in ending gender-based violence.
