About The Position

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for keeping all guest corridors neat, vacuumed, and dusted. This role ensures that mirrors, furniture, floors, elevators, and doors are clean and mark-free. The attendant also maintains the cleanliness of service elevator landings, stairwells, and linen storage rooms by sweeping, mopping, and dusting. Additionally, they stock linen closets and cabinets daily with supplies and amenities, and empty trash and dirty linen from guest room floors. The position involves assisting room attendants as needed, including moving beds and furniture, switching mattresses, and removing or hanging window drapes. The attendant also picks up and delivers guest request items such as irons, ironing boards, cribs, and rollaway beds, and is responsible for attending to and cleaning male facilities in both guest and employee areas.

Requirements

Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to lift boxes of up to 40 pounds and carry them for up to 15 feet.
Ability to push or pull a cart weighing up to 150 pounds for up to 75 feet.

Responsibilities

Keeps all guest corridors neat, vacuumed and dusted.
Ensures mirrors, furniture, floors, elevators and doors are clean and mark-free.
Keeps all service elevator landings, stairwells and linen storage rooms clean by sweeping, mopping and dusting the areas.
Stocks linen closets and cabinets daily with supplies and amenities.
Empties trash and dirty linen from guest room floors.
Assists room attendants as required.
Helps move beds and furniture, switching mattresses, removes or hangs window drapes.
Picks up and delivers guest request items on a timely basis such as irons, ironing boards, cribs and rollaway beds.
Attends to and cleans male facilities in both guest and employee areas.
