The Public Area Attendant is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various areas of the hotel, including the Lobby, Lower Lobby, Elevators, Rest Rooms, Courtyard, Outlets, and Hotel Office Areas. This role requires establishing a comprehensive understanding of Sonesta guest standards, cleaning chemicals, and appropriate cleaning methods for various surfaces. The attendant must ensure restrooms are kept clean and in excellent condition, performing regular checks and disinfecting during rounds, especially during special events. They are also responsible for reporting maintenance issues, cleaning spills, and maintaining the cleanliness of surfaces like ash trays, tables, windows, and mirrors. Dust mopping floors and dusting furniture are required at the start and end of shifts, as well as as needed. The role involves using a radio/pager to communicate with housekeeping, responding to hotel requests promptly, remaining visible in their work area, and handling any other duties assigned by management. Additionally, the attendant must collect and log any Lost/Found items and manage inventory of stock and supplies.
