About The Position

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining and ensuring exceptional cleanliness of all public areas at Eldorado Resort. This role is crucial in enhancing the guest experience through meticulous upkeep of various hotel spaces.

Requirements

  • Positive attitude
  • Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised as well as in a team environment
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
  • Sufficient time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and handle repetitive movements, such as pulling, pushing, lifting, and bending up to 8 hours a day
  • Available to work weekdays and weekends, including holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in housekeeping is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the overall cleanliness and appearance of the public areas of the hotel to enhance the guest experience (clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, washrooms, elevators, stairways, meeting rooms, laundry room, pool areas, offices, and other workspaces)
  • Restock and maintain lobby washrooms and amenity rooms daily
  • Respond to guest/housekeeping requests in a timely and efficient manner
  • Vacuum rugs, furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners and/or steamers
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and transport other trash and recyclables to disposal areas
  • Dust and polish furniture in main areas
  • Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
  • Wash windows, walls, ceiling, and woodwork as necessary
  • Maintain parking lots (sweep, rake leaves, remove the garbage, empty ashtray)
  • Remove any garbage, recyclables, and empty beverage containers from the laundry room
  • Identify and report preventative and other maintenance issues in public areas
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation
  • Carry out lost and found procedures
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary
  • Other duties as required
