About The Position

Pyramid Global Hospitality is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and people-first Public Area Attendant to join the Housekeeping team at the Marriott Colorado Springs. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of all public spaces, ensuring a positive first impression for guests. The Public Area Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of lobbies, corridors, elevator banks, public restrooms, stairwells, service areas, and floor pantries. This position also provides support to room attendants by assisting with linen distribution, supply restocking, and special deliveries. The role involves regular guest interaction, requiring a warm, professional, and helpful demeanor. There is a clear pathway for growth within the housekeeping department, with opportunities to advance into room attendant roles and beyond for those who demonstrate skill, consistency, and commitment. Weekend availability is a requirement for this position as hotel housekeeping operates seven days a week.

  • Comfortable operating equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dustpans, scrub pads, and dusters.
  • Able to observe conditions throughout the property and detect odors or cleanliness issues.
  • Flexible availability including weekends; weekend availability is required for this position.
  • A professional appearance and demeanor consistent with Marriott brand standards.

  • Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Walk assigned floors at the beginning and end of each shift to collect bags, trash, and soiled linen, ensuring public corridors and service areas are clean and guest-ready.
  • Clean all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, corridors, elevator banks, public restrooms, stairwells, and other shared spaces, in accordance with department standards.
  • Pick up clean linen from the laundry area and refill the par stock of linen on each floor pantry.
  • Refill the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry.
  • Deliver towels, cribs, cots, rollaway beds, and other items to guest rooms upon request.
  • Remove soiled linen and trash from all service areas and transport them to the appropriate locations.
  • Assist room attendants with heavy lifting during deep cleaning and spring cleaning of guest rooms.
  • Perform duties of a room attendant when necessary.
  • Engage with guests encountered throughout the property in a warm, helpful, and professional manner.
  • Respond to all guest and team member requests in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to the appropriate team promptly.
  • Maintain housekeeping cart and all equipment in a clean, organized, and properly stocked condition.
  • Follow proper procedures for the use and handling of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with room attendants, laundry, and maintenance to support the overall housekeeping operation.
