About The Position

The Public Area Attendant is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of all public spaces within Hotel Effie, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other guest-facing areas. This role ensures all areas are maintained to the highest standard of cleanliness and appearance, providing an exceptional experience for guests.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead frequently.
• Must be able to push, pull, or carry housekeeping carts and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to climb stairs and use step ladders as needed.
• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and follow proper safety instructions.
• Must be able to work in varying indoor and outdoor environments, including inclement weather.
• Must possess sufficient dexterity to handle cleaning tools and equipment safely.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, and entrances.
• Polish fixtures, clean mirrors, dust furniture and décor, vacuum carpets, and mop hard floors.
• Restock supplies in public restrooms, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from public areas.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks and special projects as assigned.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly used, maintained, and stored.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
