About The Position

The New York Office of Public and International Affairs for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking two paid interns to work starting in September 2026. The internship will be 40 hrs/wk for no longer than 3 months. The Public and International Affairs Office in New York City is a satellite office of the Church Communication Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We focus on developing positive relationships with key individuals who are in a position to help or hinder the Church’s mission. This frequently involves reaching out to the diplomatic corps; local, state and national leaders who live or work in the Greater New York area; and leaders of other faiths. In building relationships, we seek to establish a positive image for the Church, clarify misunderstandings, and build bridges of friendship and understanding. Church employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work. From the IT professional who develops an app that sends the gospel message worldwide, to the facilities manager who maintains our buildings— giving Church members places to worship, teach, learn, and receive sacred ordinances—our employees seek innovative ways to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world. They are literally working in His kingdom.
