AY 26-27 Public Affairs Conversation (PACon) Student Teaching Assistant (WS-ST2)
About The Position
Student Teaching Assistants support courses in the Public Affairs Conversation. Prior participation in the Conversation program is preferred but not required. Preference may also be given to students with strong academic performance and relevant coursework in public affairs, economics, political science, philosophy, or other related fields. TAs will typically work 2-3 hours per week averaged over the semester, but hours may be lower some weeks and higher during others. This may vary depending on instructor. Hiring instructors require applicants to supply: A Statement of Interest for position, A transcript, A résumé. Specific requirements for each TA position will be discussed with those candidates chosen to interview by faculty instructors.
Requirements
- Strong academic performance and preparation relevant to the course.
- Prior participation in the Public Affairs Conversation is preferred but not required.
- Relevant coursework may include courses in public affairs, economics, political science, philosophy, or related fields.
- Specific qualifications will be determined by the faculty supervisor for each course.

Responsibilities
- Assist professor with grading homework
- Providing tutoring
- Review and proof exams prior to test periods
- Hold a weekly one-hour open study/review session, plus a review session before the midterm and final exams.
- Assist with Moodle quality-control
