About The Position

The Ohioan Hotel and Event Center (Formally Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center) located in Lewis Center, Ohio is searching for a Pub Service Support to join our team! As a Pub Service Support, your primary responsibilities evolve around teamwork and the guest experience. In Food Service, there are both service and product knowledge expectations, with a significant focus on maintaining a hospitable mindset. The team serves a combination of both Food & Beverage and does so in a variety of different venues with a focus on the Pub.

Requirements

Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
Must be TIPS Certified or willing to obtain.
Guest-centric mentality with superior customer service.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working in hospitality is a plus.
Previous POS usage is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist team members, servers and bartenders, with small tasks such as resetting tables, running drinks, restocking, making silverware roll-ups, etc.
Run food from the kitchen to the Pub floor quickly and accurately.
Ensure food orders match the ticket and are presented correctly before leaving the kitchen.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all Pub areas ensuring the space is always guest ready.
Complete side work, opening duties and closing responsibilities, to include daily and weekly tasks as assigned.
Communicate effectively with front-of house and back-of house team members to ensure smooth service execution.
