Inpatient PT/OT Technician
About The Position
Nebraska Medicine is hiring a full-time PT/OT Technician to support physical and occupational therapy professionals in inpatient rehabilitation. The technician assists with patient care and rehabilitation activities, helping patients of all ages and ability levels work toward strength, mobility, and independence. The role supports personalized treatment plans and helps foster a positive, supportive environment throughout patients’ recovery. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with one holiday per year. It is benefits eligible.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Strong team orientation.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer and office equipment skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire from an American Heart Association-endorsed program; applies to new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later.
Nice To Haves
- Previous rehabilitation experience.
- Experience using exercise equipment typically found in a rehabilitation setting, such as treadmills, exercise bikes, whirlpools, wheelchairs, and walkers.
