PT Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models customer service practices and a positive store culture, accurately processes purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and prepares and presents merchandise according to company procedures. The role also includes store recovery, maintaining cleanliness and organization, supporting shrink-reduction and safety programs, following labor laws and policies, and performing other assigned duties.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience.
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.

- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
