About The Position

Instructors for the Citizenship Classes will work in a classroom setting at Cogdell Learning Center. Requirements

An earned Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field. Exceptions may be approved by the Chief of Staff.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
General familiarity with computers and Word software.

Nice To Haves

Experience in teaching adult or high school age students.
Experience with curriculum design, curriculum implementation, and assessment of student progress.
Experience in navigating the U.S. Citizenship and Services (USCIS) Website.
Experience in working with prospective students in assisting them with applying for Citizenship.

Responsibilities

Instruct students who are seeking to attain citizenship in the United States of America.
Develop appropriate curriculum.
Teach students in face-to-face setting.
Communicate effectively and appropriately with students.
Develop and promote a safe learning environment for all students.
Participate in student registration and orientation functions as necessary.
