About The Position

This posting is for a pooled position. Application submissions for “[ POOL ]” positions are accepted on an ongoing basis to ensure a continuous and ready pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when the need arises. If/when a position becomes available, the College will review applications from this pool, and interview candidates whose qualifications best match the specific opening. Applicants must reapply to the pool annually to maintain their active status in the pool. Instruct Spanish-only or Spanish-preferred students in Adult Basic Education and GED classes. The Adult Basic Skills instructor provides an instructional program to meet the needs of Spanish-only speaking students, in compliance with the Adult Education Act. The instructor is responsible to the Dean of Academic Foundations and Extended Learning or designees in carrying out his/her assigned instructional tasks. The instructor shall perform such other duties as assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to instruct Spanish-only or Spanish-preferred students in Adult Basic Education and GED classes.
• Ability to provide an instructional program to meet the needs of Spanish-only speaking students, in compliance with the Adult Education Act.
• Must reapply to the pool annually to maintain active status.
