About The Position

A Giant Food Deli Associate prepares and serves deli products, assists customers with orders, and maintains clean, safe food displays. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but no prior experience is required for many entry-level positions.
• Basic communication and math skills, attention to detail, and a friendly attitude.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 to 50 pounds depending on specific stock duties.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• OPEN AVAILABILITY: 6am-9pm

Responsibilities

• Greet shoppers, take custom orders, slice meats and cheeses to preference, and offer product recommendations.
• Slice, weigh, package, and label deli items.
• Rotate stock for freshness.
• Clean and sanitize work surfaces, slicers, scales, and utensils regularly.
• Follow federal and state food safety guidelines.
• Keep display cases full, attractive, and neatly organized.
