About The Position

The GIANT Company is hiring a Coffee Barista to provide customers with helpful, welcoming service and high-quality products. The role involves recommending products, providing demonstrations and samples, following food safety and quality practices, and maintaining merchandising, stock, rotation, and storage standards. The barista is also responsible for following cash-handling and inventory procedures and learning and demonstrating the product and conduct standards established by The GIANT Company and Starbucks. Shifts are at least four hours and may be longer depending on business needs.

Requirements

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must have valid identification.
Must meet company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
Customer-focused, with strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to meet the physical requirements described: lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and perform a static pull of up to 20 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory and/or barista experience preferred.
Food handling certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome and connect with each customer, provide exceptional service, recommend products, and accommodate purchases to enhance the customer experience.
Provide product demonstrations and sampling.
Serve only items that meet visual and product quality standards.
Demonstrate knowledge of and practice safe food handling.
Follow merchandising, stock, rotation, and storage standards.
Maintain a clean, professional appearance during every shift.
Follow proper cash-handling procedures and register policies.
Follow inventory and stock guidelines.
Take responsibility for self-initiated learning beyond the standard training program.
Learn and demonstrate all product and conduct standards established by The GIANT Company and Starbucks.
