About The Position
Saskatoon Co-op is seeking a PT Clerk Cashier to join their team. This position reports to the Food Store Manager and is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, maintaining a clean and well-merchandised front-end, operating the till, and assisting with general stock duties. The ideal candidate will have a positive and professional attitude, be dependable, and possess a good working understanding of till operations and merchandise knowledge. This role requires the ability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Requirements
- Must possess adequate knowledge of all lines of merchandise handled by the Food Department.
- Must be strongly service oriented and motivated, and capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Applicant must be able to work: mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities
- Come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
- Be dependable for all scheduled shifts.
- Provide outstanding courteous customer service.
- Provide a neat, clean, well merchandised front‑end at all times.
- Have a good working understanding of the till operation.
- Engage in and supervise packing of customer purchases at the checkout counter.
- Be familiar with and adhere to all Saskatoon Co‑op Policies and Procedures.
- Assist in general stock duties, including filling shelves and bins in the checkout area, when not cashing.
- Achieve a checkout speed of 14 items per minute.
- Responsible for achieving accurate cash balances.
- Assist in supervision as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
