About The Position

The PT Attendant represents Chiricahua Apache Plaza’s core values and mission by providing exceptional service and maintaining a positive attitude. The role involves assisting customers, resolving or escalating complaints, participating in cross-training, maintaining a safe and clean retail environment, and supporting food preparation, inventory, deliveries, and daily operations. The attendant must follow applicable policies, regulations, safety procedures, food-handling practices, and liquor regulations. Regular attendance is required. The position requires operating kitchen equipment and using utensils safely, maintaining a neat and well-groomed appearance, and adapting to changing tasks and customer or team needs. The selected candidate must pass a background check and drug-screening test, obtain a New Mexico food handler permit, and should be able to become alcohol server certified.

Requirements

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation, or other education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to interpret instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel.
Knowledge of personal computers, point-of-sale systems, safety equipment, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to obtain required licenses or certificates.
Must pass a background check and drug-screening test.
Must obtain a New Mexico food handler permit.
Physical ability to perform the described duties, including standing for prolonged periods and occasionally lifting or moving up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Cash-handling experience preferred.
Cooking experience preferred; training will be provided if necessary.
Ability to become alcohol server certified.

Responsibilities

Maintain a positive attitude and represent Chiricahua Apache Plaza’s core values and mission of exceptional service.
Resolve customer complaints when applicable and escalate them to the appropriate level of management as needed.
Participate in cross-training.
Maintain a safe and clean retail environment, including shower areas, restrooms, floors, laundry areas, lounges, fuel islands, and the parking lot.
Comply with liquor regulations, food-handling safety standards, and procedures for rotating food products.
Accept and properly inventory deliveries and perform assigned inventory counts.
Perform daily tasks, including preparing food products as directed.
Follow all policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance; keep required uniforms clean and pressed at the beginning of each shift.
Operate kitchen equipment and use kitchen utensils.
Report suspicious persons or activity to a supervisor immediately.
Advise management of safety hazards or violations so they can be addressed promptly.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Maintain regular attendance.
