About The Position

The Child Center of NY is hiring a fee-for-service Psychotherapist (OLP) to provide early behavioral health support to children and families. The role delivers compassionate, in-home and community-based care intended to help children achieve stability, growth, and long-term success. It is field-based and offers schedule flexibility, with services provided in person and by phone.

Requirements

• NYS LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT is required.
• Flexibility to conduct home visits; evening or weekend availability is preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Bilingual ability; Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, or other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with children, teens, and their families in their homes and communities.
• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments.
• Create personalized service plans with active family involvement to guide care and support meaningful progress.
• Provide short-term counseling to reduce symptoms and improve daily functioning.
• Deliver in-person and phone-based crisis intervention when a child experiences psychiatric, behavioral, or situational distress.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation to support effective care and collaboration.
